Pfft. Shermans all the way
I have to agree with you guys, the Tiger was the superior tank of WWII, and could probably match with some of the tanks of today. If memory serves me, I believe they found a Tiger that took over 1000 direct hits from shermans, and was only stopped after some footsolder blew off a tread with a grenade.

Israel got new tank Merkava Mk4 , which is very good ...
this tank can't be exported outside Israel so You can only hope for some lucky videos from shows , even the photos are rare...
in that one gets M1A2 Abrams and Leopard 2A6 EX and Challenger 2E deadly competetion
to ww2, maybe the germans produced the ehm best tanks , but there were the russian tanks capable shoot theirs turrets aways ...
so ... it was just question in what timeframe

Nice Pic Axianda....
But think about this... look at the main gun... That my friends is an M60A3 105mm rifled gun tube... the big "Beer Can" inthe middle gives it away.
Only gun that had one that big that was also offset up and to the left slightly... if memory serves me correctly.
And as far as tanks go... the Russian T-38 hunted and killed many a German tank on the Eastern Front.
But if you want to talk about the ULTIMATE TANK.... I have just one word for you all >>>>O.G.R.E.<<<<

I heard rumors of a 'Ubertank' the US is building, involves actual battlelasers (Not for blinding, but for cutting through hull) and Gauss Guns. Of course, its just rumors, ive yet to find/hear of a single project thats even remotely similar.
Admittingly, I hear the Challenger 2 is really good, but at the same time, rediculously expensive. The massive cost has turned away many potental customers to them.
