well, a few things....
1- given the title of this thread I'm surprised it wasn't removed since I'm sure DarkSpace wouldn't want this game to be flamed in say EvE's forum (if they had one)
2- since many of you are playing EvE i'm not surprised you destroyed this thread with nonesense rather than admit you actually play and like that game

Well I did play EvE, tuss i know a bit how the game works... and it really sucks, compared to all other online games.
EvE is a bad space sim with a bad rpg system. In fact it's not a space simulator at all, it's only an rpg but with ships instead of elfs and Orcs.
The battle system was boring, and the game had no backbone story to support it (when i say back bone, i mean that the backstory is not really intergrated ingame).
Also the economie is bad, not only cash can almost only be made by a really boring mining run( in an other game i DO mine to get cash, but it's not that boring since you have to make sure the high level aggro mobs dont see/ear you).
Last point is the ingame control. In most sim you have direct control of your ship(exept ST-Bridge commander.... althrou you can still control that ship in combat), but not in EvE, you dont have anny control exept the point and go methode(Auto pilot), or the face a direction and go at X% speed. Also during combat, it's does not mather if you could do maneuvers, cause the weapons will instantly hit the target.
So in conclusion, EvE is a failed attempt of making a good space sim, by making it a bad space oriented rpg(they should have shutted EvE down instead of shutting Earth and Beyond).
Note: This is my oppinon and only mine, and also note that anny flame posts regarding this reply, will be used keep me warm during this cold winter).

Ooooh how did I KNOW that someone from EvE would actually shoot down DS? Not surprising really.
It just needs to be remembered: DS has been on longer than EvE....and EvE seems like its having the same exact problems DS had at one time..
I fact we don't have our own balencing done (but at least we know it will.)
And yes I do agree EvE sucks, even if I HAVEN'T played it, simply the user comments on the game make my skin crawl at the thought of playing such a game...and the best part is that one day DS will be similar to EvE... just in moderation...
Also a note on the extremely long quote chain: Even I (who on a side note, was once crazy enough to ride a bike down 75 degree dirt hill littered wil glass just to prove I could- I still have the scar from where the piece of glass went through my hand) could not think up something so totally and completely pointless and stupid...however funny it may seem.
Im just surprised it hasnt been locked yet....
