I had this idea today... to reward the best pilots out there.

Nominees would be chosen by the community or the moderators and the winners would be chosen by the community through a secret vote ( so that stats don't count AT ALL ).

Possible Categories:

Best Leader
Best Freelancer
Best Evader
Best Killer
Best Capper
Best Clan leader
Funniest Pilot
Scariest Pilot
etc
etc
etc...

And also a few "special awards" to underline some players unwavering commitment to the game and improvement of the game.

Any thoughts? Bad idea? Good idea?

i like the idea, personally.
just add the following as well;

Most likely to hit a planet
Most likely to kill an entire fleet on follow
Most likely to crap themselves as opposed to stopping play for two mins
Most likely to be in the wrong ship/place at the wrong time

and also;

Most heroic
Most helpful
Most dependable

and last but not least;

The IRON MAN AWARD- most likely to be found on and IN MV at any given hour of the day.

I suppose we could make an Enforc3r award. It would be all those combined.

It was meant as a serious suggestion so it'd need to have ground rules, very wide rules so has not to cull down the majority of the players in one quick strike ( no reliance at all on pres or kill ratio or points in category X for once... ) but real in-game, lobby, forum or programming/helping F achievements ( testers for only a few categories...) noted by fellow players.

Any other constructive ideas on this?

Well Diabolik if I were gonna give an award for top pilot you would definitly be on that list. However you would still be far behind Rogue Spear in that category.

But anyways, keep up the good work! Someday you might be a DarkSpace legend such as him.
