Problem Loading Display! HELP! =( |

Well I heard about this awesome game and decided to give it a try. I download it and got it running and made an accout. So as I open it everything loads and looks fine until I try to join a server. When it finishes loading the server info it show the error 'Failed to initialize display!', then the error 'Failed to initialize display; Run Client setup to check your client settings'.
I have done the following to fix the problem so far:
-Bought a new graphics card (Geforce MX 4000)
-Changed my resolution to many different settings
-Updated drivers for my monitor and graphics card
-Uninstalled Darkspace and reinstalled it
So far nothing has worked and the error keeps showing up. If anyone has any clue what is going on I would really appreciate any help I can get.

OK ok, I got it fixed.
BackSlash is THE man. He freaking sat down with me and helped me fix this for like half an hour. Thanks a lot man.
The problem was the driver windows installed was not the one i needed so I found a different one and set the screen to 800x600.
