ok this realy bugs me

when i cant make one i want a red line or something indicating i cant make one.

and / or i want Wh to be exact so when i place a target for it it goes there

its silly you have the only usefull on stations takes 5 min to charge and it just fails no way to check why or if it will

There is a chance, that it'll appear exactly where you set your target marker. Most times it appears somewhere around that position though. That behavior is intentional.
Try opening a wormhole at lower velocity for increased accuracy.

By pressing the J button you express your intention to create a wormhole at the target coordinates. If the target area is blocked by lots of planets / interdictor fields, the chance for a successful wormhole creation is quite low.
If there is more free space around your target coordinates, the chance for the successful WH creation increases.

So in other words, its not a WH problem, its your problem with the way the WH's work.

I like the way it works....I dont even like WH's as they ARE...but..its a nice change and it seems to mingle in with the game.

If a wormhole opens inside a planet, you can report it as a bug.
WHs shouldn't form inside solid objects.
This might be related to the collision detection / size of the gas giant.

If you target a planet (or the inside of a planet manually), the wormhole will probably spawn somewhere around that location.
Giving you a correct red line would require a lot of CPU time and bandwidth. Furthermore it'd be like you playing roulette, and someone telling you "don't play this round, or you'll lose".

I assumed it wouldn't be that hard to guess.
Vast neutral open space = about 100% success rate
Dense enemy cluster = about 0% success rate.
Also make sure there is some free space in front of your ship when trying to open a WH.
