What happens (or /should happen/) is that you will see the Ship Jump in (Because it is a highest priority Noun), your Weapon and JD Status will stop updating (Because they are low priority Verbs) [Just kidding here, hehe. I hope.]
The IT Fire from the Planet behind you that filled your connection up will start lagging because it is low priority Traffic.
Eventually, depending how smart the scheduling is, you will not get (all of) the Ship's Projectiles, but you will see yourself receive damage (because it is a high priority Verb), and (If your JD Status updated) you can react and jump away.
That clear it up?
EDIT: You (probably unknowingly) raised an interesting Point there (tho i am entirely to underinformed to determine if it is really an Issue). What if your Ship was already in his Queue, but low Priority and unsent because it was far away? Is it going to be rescheduled?
It's likely tho that Stuff doesn't work that way (i.e. Ship Nouns and Ship Position Verbs for your close vicinity will ALWAYS be a top priority)
Still, on 56k you /will/ not have the same connection Quality than on DSL. It is, after all, 56k, and the increase in Volume Data with the new Backend won't just go away even with the best of scheduling. It should be /far/ from unplayable tho.

Im wondering if this is the cause of ships just "appearing beside me"?? has happened many times while playing agianst the icc and I know they do not have a cloak!!
On another note.......WTH happened to my sig.......*looks down* I feal kinda naked with out it!!
