He means People should be surrounded by half a ton of red and green dots unable to distinguish projectiles and ships or the game would become to easy.

Okay this has me completely confused.

What in the sam hill does that mean?

It was a poetic attempt at saying this:

Weeding through targets is part of the challenge of combat. If we could see exactly what things were without needing to do anything, it would be too easy.

And that is just my opinion...

Right, because playing skill = skill with clicking the mouse..

I sure hope it's going to be incorporated..

Didn't ya know? Hell froze over

There should be a way that you can detect when a missile is incoming without having to drastically alter your view to specifically find the source of the missile sound - which by the time you're done it has already hit you.

I bring this up because my ship's point defense as of late has been extremely lacking. It won't even fire when I've got a +20 sig and I'm sitting there, not going anywhere.

Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait...

You are honestly telling me that button spamming, and non-intuitive, clunky, non-user friendly interfaces are attractive in a game, and something to strive for?

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Hell, I can make difficult to use, clunky, irritating, frustrating, and ultimatly futile interface systems all day! I've been doing it all wrong, striving for game design to be more intuitive and user friendly!

* Gideon runs off to make DS as difficult and frustrating to play as possible...*

Well, keep in mind some people think clickfest games are challenging... and they are, to a degree. That doesn't exactly make them FUN or strategic though... not in my opinion.

Speaking of which... I'm off to play a massive game of Total Annihilation w00t4the1500unitspatch!
