I had that game crash, in Nav with to many fighters trying to display, only happened when I zoomed in to much and they tried to display.

This may be by design... I jumped off the map (to far out) and was put in ship selection screen, my ship was there also.

Estimated over 500 fighters, with no server lag, and planet defenses firing, and 3 ships firing at eachouther. NICE

I have to wait to sync with the serv er whenever i get a new ship out. Also i need to wait a few seconds to sync with an enemy if I have just jumped to them. doesn;t matter if i have had them targeted for over a minute before I jumped, it still has to resync.

I have had 2 game crashes in about 15 minutes.
Fisrt time in the middle of a jump, second time right after a jump while targeting an enemy (who jomped in to location right after me)

I Saw it too. Everyone gets the "Confirm Self-Destruct message".. but only the ship who is trying to die has it work for them (good thing).

I cant pick a fleet when I log in. all the butten`s are there. I have tryed 4x with and with out firewalls.

Well I tested verry fast the new Beta(August 29)

so here's my result: No lag what so ever, i did not encounter bugs but since i did not test everything(dont have alot of time on my hands )

but I found this on the Dev log:

so that was it the bug that caused the lag... my prog teacher(and myself) allways said that bugs are usualy stupid things... like forgotten to put some number to a variable or forgotten to put the code to point to a function or procedure(sp?)... or spelling errors


well im glad the new version is getting out soon... now I just have to find a way to get some time to play this game aggain

I did manage to connect by down loading the latest beta in full and re-installing. It certainly feels a lot smoother.

However we are not going to be able to do a real stress test with the normal maps, unless you can lots big ships on there and some fully built clusters.

I suggest its forced to one of the bigger maps and the game needs to be managed by staff to see that we get some strong clusters built which are at least in the same league as the MV. Which isnt going to happen with people bombing the **** out of everything to the ground at the beginning of the scenario.

- [Evil]KnightArthur and myself were flying around, on opposing sides. He dropped 8 nuke mines trying to trap me and I, in my drainer, while running ecm, for some reason could see every mine he dropped. Figured it was a bug.

- Kinda hard to hit someone with mines when they can see em, don't ya think???

- Also, experienced periodic lag when taking ships out of a SY or gate, but this has been posted by others.

- Also saw the Confirm self destruct message when "someone", other than myself, decided to initiate. I didn't quite understand it at the time.

- I was flying in a Ganglia, getting pummelled by 2 Assault Cruisers, my hull was around 30%, and systems began failing and dropping to 0%. I did have my reload running at the time, and I got COMPLETELY spammed with server messages saying systems had been destroyed, as they had been, but I was spammed from top to bottom of the screen since the reload kept repairing them to at least 1%, then they fell to 0% again, and I got the same server message. It was quite annoying. Anyway, i know this doesn't happen in release so apparently another bug.

- I saw a spare am mine laying in space about 1500gu away from me. I wanted to pick it up, so i hit the J key to jump to it. My jump alignment froze immediately and i could not turn or move. Only way to release the freeze was to shift + J and emergency jump. Not sure what the issue was.

- also, as well as the server seems to be running, i.e. a lot smoother than release at the moment, i did experience, occasional lag spikes. This is nothing new to people who have played recently, but it was weird because at times i was in fighter and missile swarms and everything was basically lag free. maybe something associated with the synch issues? I'm sorry to say i didn't do a trace at the time. I will if i have this occur again.

It is also difficult to read a lot of the similar shaped numbers, 3/5/6/8/9 are all difficult to tell apart. They all look rather like 8 to me.
