Since F took out the ability to travel by Shipyards you either got to have a Station or Log and come back.
So in the interest of playing, I would like to see the Jump Gates from the previous version so we don't have to do everything by WormHoles.

yeah i agree, i must of logged AT LEAST 20 times yestirday cause i just got stuck, and for someone that cant use a jc or a station its nearly imposible to get to the action, unless they wanna get in a scout and longjump

there are gates, and there are plenty of places to refill, it aint that hard people.

Gates have not changed one bit from v1.480 to v1.481.
In v1.480, gates did not go everywhere. In v1.481 gates do not go everywhere.
The software implementation of gates is precisely the same.

hmmm I am pretty sure they have moved.I will investigate and see if I can get to Cyg by Gates

Most systems without gates are out of reach of even destroyers.... cant get from lacaille to luyt for example, even on a full tank. We need something to move around... what? you guys decide...

I think Gideon is trying to say, "Suck it up, this is the way it's going to be." I guess it's just going to require a little more teamwork and waiting around. We did a pretty good job of WHing what few UGTO were on out to cyg yesterday, but if you don't have a couple of stations around it can be tough.
On a side note, it's still not real easy to figure out where the action is. It would be nice if you could see a friendly faction population for the system when you click on SY location on the map. That way you could spawn where the most people are instead of spawning to ask what's going on or pan/zoom every system until you see something. It's way better now than it used to be but a little tweaking wouldn't hurt.

What I am saying is:
This is an online multiplayer game. This game is not designed to be a single player game. As such, it is intentional that players have to work with other players in order to do certain things. If you can't do something solo, then see if you can do it with the aid of other players.

Then I sugest a decent communication system. The faction chat that works more like spam now is not just usless for the purpous of establishing an effective communication between faction members. It's annoying during combat. IT's distracting. It has a very similar colour as a clan chat. So I miss messages I consider important as well. May be chat should be limited to a system like before.

OH Hell no!!......I much prefere this system of chat to the old system. Having to look up a clans ID so I could send a message to thier clan and ask if they were the ones in Lalande or something or other was just too much of a pain in my backside.....multiply that by how many clans that are in your faction and then have to message each one before you find out who its is and you'll get my point.
However, with the update, the clan chat that you get when you first log in is green, and if you select clan chat on your chat bar instead of using /send clan its green, so why not make /send clan green so its more noticable during combat!! Thats an idea I think a lot of us can live with!

to communication i suggest whole screen for that + ability to FILTER in main chat stuff like events etc (visible in chat window / events table)
i really dislike to have ALL in 1 window i want capture/revolt/blockade events in one window, chat in 2nd, private msg in another, clan in another, build/scrap events another etc
all in chat screen
can you relalize SPAM issue with 50 players at EACH side ? ... and with 100?
if this is not prepared it become total chaos
