When i try to join a server it just says failed to initialize display and wont let me. Ive tried running setup, reinstalling and manually getting the updates and nothing has worked. If anyone could help me figure this out I would be greatful.

more information about your graphic card, the drivers you're using would be helpful.

had this problem earlier, starting setup, selecting prefered display settings again & saving changes fixed problem..

if you're starting another application or use ALT + Tab to view another app, this might cause the "failed.." error too. .

G force2 mx400 is my video card and i have Legacy Video and Audio Drivers

Also when i try to open Intel Graphics Technology it says "The driver for this control panel applet is not currently running or is not available" im wondering if this is a problem.

Try these drivers:

Reinstall DX9b afterwards if neccesary.

I have the same problem but with different card. I think its because of my onboard card(NVIDIA GeForce 2 Integrated GPU 32mb), but I upgraded awhle back to NVIDIA GeFore 5200 12mb.

3rror try clicking Setup diamond at the top....this is a common bug
you have to do this every time you update your gfx drivers aswell....so

i dunno if not lol
