Would it be possible to implement a clientside filter for the various messages spammed to you by the MV server?
I was thinking of a some kind of alert level that you can set for priority on the messages. IE:
Blue = low priority (ie minor planet events like production level changes and all other metaserver messages)
Green
Yellow = medium priority (no basic economic messages)
Orange
Red = High priority (only showing planet distress/supply request/ major incidents like plagues)
The client would still receive the messages, but just filter them out depending on player preference and show them in log with an *asterix or something beside them.
