I have heard of there being new ranks. I think the system we have now is fine. Plus i would have to get demoted because there in a new rank added. ive worked hard to get where im at i dont want to go down a rank.

Sure you go down a rank (maybe), but you still keep the ships you had before.

You wont lose anything, all ship requirements are going down one rank.
Anyway; The new ranks are added because the game ends once you make Fa.
The whole exitement when you get new ships and a new rank dies and the game actually becomes a lot less fun

Ignore Barthezzz, he's talking out his rear again.
There are no new ships associated with the new ranks.
We are contemplating other rewards for players of Fleet Admiral and higher rank, but have made no definate plans at this time.
For the time being, they exist purely for bragging rights.

y the hell shove every one down a rank nd shove the ship requirements down a rank only to make a new rank that does not add any ship. the new rank is to make it so that when u reach Fa the game is not over. but what incentive is there to gain that next rank whatever it is if u dont get a new ship. it's like saying the president is now the supreme president but no changes r made.

This issue was debated about a couple months ago, and the Dev team decided to go ahead with the addition of the new ranks.
And since the issue originally raised in the first post has been answered, and since there doesn't seem to be anything constructive arising from this post, I'm locking it.
No matter your feelings, after the patch, you will go down a rank - but so will the ships, so you're effectively just changing titles. Value will be added to the additional titles in the future.
