As we have all heard, kluth are getting some weapons taken away from them...this post accured to me while looking at some old screenshots of DS...since Kluth cant use human lasers anymore...why not make disruptors and ELF beams interchangeable? I mean since we all mod Generators like crazy (more tha half the ppl i play with do) why not make it possible? Flame about it as much as you want, but these scale backs would make it this idea worthy of mention...

This is a temporary stop gap until v1.482. As of that version, K'Luth will have unlimited access to human tech (flux wave, flux cannon, shields, pulse beam, and pulse shield not included).

In v1.482, the intended plan is for the ELF beam to be a medium beam device (there are light, medium, and heavy beams). This would make it a replacement for the medium disruptor. In order to accomplish this, the ELF beam had to go through some serious rebalancing with an eye towards us expecting people to mount multiples. In it's current incarnation, the ELF beam is too powerful to be allowed in multiples on ships.

with 6 elf the drainer can fire torps non stop... thats even worse than 6 damage beams

well 1 claws have 5 beams, and 2 all you would need is 2 you alternate fire and there weapons never fully reload, thats why it was made kluth only human ships could mount multipuls and own kluth, and kluth ships can only have the one because it was a lite beam
