With ship capping back in the game... howabout EMP torpedoes for UGTO?

They'd basically have the same stats as F torps... except minus the hull damage, and they'd do fairly extensive damage to systems once they chewed through the armor and/or shields...

Need I say more?

I think flux beams are still better. They decimate systems pretty fast and never miss.

EMP torpedoes people EMP... not flux... flux beams are lame.

and EMP torps would be far more useful than flux since they use less energy, and fire faster.

Soooo...basicly you want a weapon which have the same effects as flux, and which fires faster (and uses less energy). Yeah...lets work on fixing the overuse of flux weapons by creating another which does the EXACT SAME THING. Now when I (if I ever resub) get jumped by a Uggy destroyer I can have the satifaction of being killed by someone without the skill needed to abuse flux. Great idea.

The idea might be okay if we didn't already have EMP cannons, Flux beams, and flux waves

Need a new idea is what we need.

Lets just give all UGTO players a button labled "Turn enemy systems to absolute crap" so we don't have to worry about them becoming totally confused, what with having to mash the V key and spacebar and all.

It's really tiresome looking at all the forum posts whining about Flux.

not a bad idea, make it cross faction tech and you got yourself a deal

1 flux wave isnt so bad its just when you go up ageinst a flux BD that its really over kill, heck before the hull value incresses, 1 BD could kill an ICC dread in one flux wave hit it was rather sad...

yes i think the flux wave is over powered, but as i said 1 flux isnt that bad, so if they where to cut it down to 1 that would be better, also yes for you poeple aboutt o complain about the pulse wave, cut it down also to 1

People who die by flux waves need to train their fleet to suck less
Team Work people...

Flux Cannons are pretty uber, just make sure those EAD's dont jump ya

Anyway, me being ICC supports the EMP Torpedo, it of course should not be UGTO only. Like the EMP cannon.

Agreed. I get fluxed, I die, I don't complain, usually I deserve it. Keep in mind that these people ARE sacrificing weapons for these, and flux beams are good things to use, flux waves, however, are retarded to use. If you see a UGTO fire flux waves, start shooting it. Duh. It takes years to recharge those things.
