Since 1 through 0 are to be used for weapons and stuffor. why not make fighters auto group 1 through 0 since we only have 10 fighters and if you got reloaded they would just add up into the groups without any fighters till all the groups where filled and no more fighters would be able to spawn. so to get fighters you would pres shift 1 through shift 0 and to say I wanted to add group 1 and 2 together I would do shift 1 keep holding shift and pres 2 and it would combine them. But their will have to be a interface showing the fighters and stuff in like the middle bottom of the screen.
hows this I know their are bugs in this mainly cause I dont know any programming languages but shoot and tell me what you think.

Flaw:

Pressing "1" to call up group one for orders will also launch fighters from the fighter bay assigned to "1".



Note:

Is difficult to select a varied group of fighters at once with this system, but this isn't nessesarily a bad thing due to the specialized nature of each fighter type.


Concideration:

We anticiapte being able to divorce fighters stored from the launch bay components in the future, for several reasons. Fighters would then be stored more like troops.

How does your system work after that changed, given that fighter types would no longer be assigned to specific launch components?
