Is anyone else think that it would be a cool idea, if not just selling parts at a port they could be recycled and say, 75% of the material gone into making the items would go back into the planet's resources.
This would also mean that there wouldn't be massive stocks of IE Drives and Tachyon Drives at planets where people modify their ships in the MV

Agreed. This could also be useful to sell and scrap battlefield salvage at a developing planet near the front.
