cpl things ..
1* Would like to Suggest that there be a hotkey or incremental key for setting speed .. ie: Be able to press "=" to increase speed by 2gu at time or "-" to decrease at same level , either that or by pressing shift +? to hotkey a certain speed , main use for this is when bombing...
Perhaps a Speed Bar under the group bar (top right corner)that you can slide to desired impulse with mouse.
2* Before you get to carried away with the nerfgun.. put it down & take two steps back... Beef up the less fortunate .. ie: give the poor uggies and iccie an extra laser or two  ...
dont make the only "powerful" aka Fun Ships less fun .. might as well fling potatoes at each other ...
3* Let Nimby Out of the basement more often ....

5* Make me an Admin.. you know you want too...

To clarify:
It is presently somewhat hard to precisely control your speed. Therefore, there should be keys to:
A.) Configure "Preset" buttons that moves the throttle to a certain location when a preset is hit.
B.) Buttons to precisely increase your speed in defined increments, such as 1 or 2 GU.

A Friend Referred this to me , its a program called Distant Suns used through SETI , it shows the known universe & real names & stuff Which is gr8 , considering the nitpickers of DS that crave Reality in our game  ....

I think that providing a visual aid like this for a suggestion on the interface changes is great. We'll always look at such things very closely.
