Low: Less Energy Used, Less Damage, Faster Recharge, Less Range
Medium: Average Everything, The Default
Heavy: More Energy Drain, More Damage, Slower Recharge, Better Range
What does everyone think?

There are already "power levels" for the weapons as in the example above, CL300, CL500, CL1000, CL2000...
One of the planned for expansions is going to be the ability to upgrade your systems. ie, the base would be CL300lvl1, you might be able to upgrade it to a CL300lvl5 which would give more damage, range, and less drain...

I think what he means is:
You can change the power setting on the CL2000k... the max being 2000k, the minum being like 500k
The max on a CL300k would be 300k and the minimum would be like a pulse beam....
Good idea. Not sure you would want to use it much on a cl2000k, but on the smaller beam weapons for ugto and kluth, they could be turned into a poor-man's pulse beam.
Have the modulator controls when you right click on the device, just add a slider or something...
and...
the Cl550 is a typo...

CL500 and CL550 are the exact same component, with a different name.
This is due to a typo a long time ago.
However, we will most likely make them distinct components in v1.482.
