I think the navigator badge should become one of the badges you can lose.

For example, the other day I smacked a full modded hive into a planet. Why? Because I wanted to get to the planet faster then the orbit speed of 3 gu/sec, so I pushed her up to 5. Only I wasnt really paying attention.

You think Kluth High Council would give me another one anytime soon? If you ask me, anytime you kiss planet your "Jumps" stat should have shiphullsize/constant taken off of it. Course the stat should be renamed.

You guys be the judge, 201 planet collisions. Like I didn't learn from the first 200. Should I have gold navigator badge?

1 for the idea, and 1 for the way Yule brought it up *lol*

I support the idea, although there is still the problem of lagging into planets that would make the loss of the Nav-Badge a bit unfair.

How about, instead of a badge, in its location is a counter, like the kind you see at contruction sites:

12 Accident Free Days

The Ranking system would have who has not crashed the longest amount of time played (Time played, not just dates). Call it Game Days = 8 hours of Game play time (not 24 hours!! Yikes!)

10 Game days : Bronze Traffic Cone

20 Game days : Silver Steering Wheel

40 Game days : Golden Pair of Fuzzy Dice

Then you loose it when you lag into a planet...I'm sure that will cause a lot of whining...

The Idea is nice but 85 out of my 86 Planet colls are from lagging into planets.

I once jumped into a planet because i didnt pay to much attention to the moving planets in the system.

So i dont really like the idea of being punnished because im lagging :/

the idea is nice, but afaik the dev board believes overall prestige and scores should constantly grow regardless of a players actions.
(that is, of course, excluding excessively repeated acts of complete brainlessness (repeated acts of complete brainlessness with stations or dreadnoughts are excluded from this exclusion) as well as unsubscribed players)
