I think you should be able to unload inf into enemy jumpgates making it your factions.Of coarse the jumpgates would have incredible defence and it would take like 50 troops to cap. This would be something for example you and alot of your fleet do on a friday (thank god for them)night.Tell me if this is a good idea.

If they did that, a faction might never be able to play again.

Think of the large-scale implications!

No point. Jumpgates are going away in 1.481.

Plus, this idiotic idea wouldnt get to happen. Not with the current HomeGate protections they have now.

It's not a dumb idea.

Probably not something we will do, but let's not belittle someone for being good enough to submit an idea.

Oh, and no word as to whether inter-system jumpgates will be in v1.481 or not.

I do not even think Hawk means the Homegates, I think he means the system jumpgates.

Not to bad of a Idea, really.
But 50 Troops!
DAM!
How about at the most 32 or less 20, sounds kinda good.

50 troops and we will be there all night trying to get it. Not to mention leaving our planets open for attack with green troops on them.

So less would be better. Something that would take some time but not like hours on one item of a large system of things.
Defense woud have to be like interdictor, sensors and Defense bases. Okay basicly a small planet like Luna. Only thing is you can still drop troops on it. Then have all metals shiped to it by engineers to build up the Defenses on the Jump gates.

Here's the trick--> Would these gate allow enemy vessel allow them to go threw or not?

Allowing enemy vessel's to go threw. Once enemy vessel's are threw they are under attack & dictored. Also have the set distance from spawning for enemy like 500 or 600 gu from gate. Giving it a chance to fire on them and damage them. So you take your chances coming threw. You also start off at 0.0gu speed the penalty for going threw and being a enemy.

Or not allowing enemy vessel's to spawn threw. They have to long jump in and capture it. Which is harder?

Of course Home Systems Jump Gates NOT be able to capture them at all.

BTW this should be moved to Suggestions forums.

Ummm....long jump? Yeah, it can take a while, and some people don't have the patience for it, but you can just jump directly to another system.

Also, shipyards and the station wormhole device will add alternate ways to move around the MV quickly and easily.
