Yes they can get in range of dreads fairly easily. That's why it's important for dreads (especially dreads) to carry the max number of defending infantry.

If you forget to take infantry along with you and a transport comes along and boards you, you lose your ship plain and simple.




at best a dread can carry 6 elites while a tranny can carry 10. now even if you take your inf along a tranny will be able to cap you

You can load 112 "enemy" inf on a ship. all you need is enough Transports to carry these inf.

Boarding inf have no limit.

Why not set it so that under 25% hull a ship becomes disabled, and only disabled ships can be boarded.

Barthezz you can unload 112 sure, but every extra infantry just kinda disappears.

You used to be able to keep loading infantry onto your transport too after it was full. But all the extras just disappeared.

about the problem with dreads getting capped by trannys not only should trannys not be able to make it within range but the dread should be able to have automated defenses (this has been mentioned before) by the way wonder if these people heard of interdictors that would have stopped ur problem right there

uuh barthezz 1 E inf is ONE army !!
that easely can be like 20.000 soldiers i dont see what 5K can do against that ??
ok the dont have acces to the ships systems yet so ya closing blast doors gqassing or just opening remotely the airlocks
or tell all cruw to stand on rubber and send a energy spike truw the hull directly from the jump drive
everything else
or even preset explosivs on every deck so when the are captered to blow it up

there are limeltes of idee's
the point i like to see is when its captured that is jumps out to the nearest friendly shipyard and comes one of your ships
