Since it seams to be against the roc to trade in the safe zones
What is somewhat not logic.

What is, when conducting trading you cant exchange fire on the enemy you trade with while negotiating and so cant anyone of the op force that don’t know that an trade session actual are taking place.

I propose this

Make legal safe zones (free trade zones) 1 on each map (system) or at selected spots in the mv .

Make it possible to transfer credits and goods in these zones

Make it possible to exchange credits between enemy ships in these zones

Furthermore this could be coupled with, that you cant buy enemy tech from planets, even if you have the tech available, but you can install it if you get it by trading.

This would make an addition to the selling and trading system of the game.
Spawn legal trading of goods at variable rates.

How about it ...

You are supposed to be bitte rivals bent on destroying each other, even if it means your own death, so therefore why would you ever trade with the opposing race? Answer: YOU WOULDN'T.

There is a REASON you can't build fighters and builds on planets. Thus, there is the same REASON that trading is against the RoC.

Sorry boys, guess you'll have to get lucky and hope something falls out like the rest of us.

Trading unbuildable technology isn't against the RoC. Rag here was in the safe zone trying to trade, even though he knows it is impossible to unload components in the safe zone.

the whole point is pretty moot since the whole tech tree and the concept of modding how it is done nowadays is the result of a bunch of changes to changes which were changed....

HELL YEAH! That would avoid those damn smugglers!
Put a moving neutral station orbiting BD4344's sun, REALLY FAR AWAY from the center of the system, at a speed of 2gu!
That way, not everyone can access it easy, but its closer than moving to the oposite's faction home system therefore, faster to get to. Also, agreeing with Axianda, put a price like, 500 000 credits for a oposite faction build, 200 000 credits for larvae and fighters, etc.
This would bring some news to DS and would not be too tough to code I think.

Sorry, dumb idea. This is WAR people! I don't recall the Allies trading with the Nazis at the same time we were trying to destroy their War Machine. And what if we (The U.S.) decided to trade our Nuke technology to the Japanese for the Zero's Mitsubishi engines????? We would ALL (entire world) be either reading Mein Komff (sp.) at the age of 5, or hailing the Emperor right now.

To translate for those who don't know their WWII history: It's like Israel providing Palestinians with the bombs they use to kill Israeli civilians.

Well, the US under Clinton already gave away some Nuclear technology to the Chinese, which is about 500 times worse then giving it to the Japanese.
