It was possible to select any ship without rank limitations, however this is no longer possible, selecting anything other than the smallest ships result in a message about insuffiecient rank or badged. Therefore very little can actually be tested except for building or flying the small ships
Perhaps, players that have found and well document bugs in here should earn a promotion in the beta.

They have been doing that ever since The DarkSpace Beta Profiles Got Split From the Normal Profiles you know.
So Its Not a Suggestion, Its a Fact.

He was also using his station to sabotage  unless he was right about someone else using his account.

well the thing is even if you have enough pres for FA you still need to go and get all the necessary badges again

I have never seen anything good come out of asking an Admin for prestige.
Normally they take a screen print of your stats and then allow you to walk around as a Midshipman with -40,000 prestige for your trouble.
So, sure...ask an Admin.

lol Jux, we are talking about the beta, not the main game. It is usually frowned upon if you ask for prestige in the release, but the beta is another story, although I think it would be fitting if they only gave you the same rank that you have in release though, but maybe thats just me.

Actually, if they offered FA and all gold badges to anyone who played in the beta, it may entice more people to go there.
The more testers, the more testing gets done. I think maybe 1 or 2 people at a time are ever in there now so there's no stress testing of the new code or anything.

If it was in Beta then yeah, an Admin gave him 50 Bonus press and gold badges.
