should be limited to FA cause the admiral rankss have the dreads the battleship is an improvement of it guys please post how u want this ship to have its weapons set and armor sets all that stuff post it here please
oh and the battle ships made for combat and taking heavy damage

one thing i would like to see with this new ship is that there will be different type different "flavors" of the battle ship like the current dreads but its primary role is combat for the offensive verson say 12 torps (maybe thats too much u decide) and the engines and reactors to power them a good amount of CLs for PD and maybe a couple of fighter bays add whatever u want this is a new ship and should be bigger than current dread but willl use current dread artwork in the meantime

no more dreds plz i rather have that the super FA´s get smaller super ships in frigate and destoyer class

something like this

command frigate:
4 spicials 3 full armor / shild 5- 6 engine slots (dictor or elf wave )

4 heavy slots 4 light weapon slots 2 heavy beam 2 light beam



this is actuly my dream ship on any fraction please Richard

ok but i think it needs only 1 amj then agian a second to assist or as a backup would be nice ok on the UGTO dreads i'll lay out the primary weaon set and some other stuff

12 Proton Torpedos
4 CL2000s
8CL 550s
4 PFE drives
2 Tachyon Drives
4 Reactors (2 to run the ship 2 others for optimal efficiency in combat
2 special slots
8 Particle cannons
Heavy armor all around and 2 in the center
Note:UGTO Battleship has been fitted with prototype armor/Shield this increases defenses greatly but if used on firestorm mode (invincibility YAY!!)
it drains energy at an extremem rate and therefore cannot be used for more than 2 minutes repeated use in heavy combat situations can cause overload and destruction of the ship

oh and max speed for all battle ships is 15gu
and coombie u might aswell give those smaller uber ships to captains

about the super frigate and destroyers i don't like it maybe a battlecruiser for captains has the firepower of dreads but speed of cruiser sacrifices armor to make this balance

Being an amateur military history, and having an exstensive collection of literature on warships of WW I and WW II, I can easily suggest several new ship types. Simply looking at design strategies leading into and through WWII gives a remarkable set. Things missing from DS are as follows:

1. Submarines - call them anything you want, but thier true purpose was to strike while hidden. Not just a K'luth in cloak, or a Sensor Scout with 3 ECM's, but a true warship (WWII subs were equall in tonnage to some light cruisers, and several designs were made to openly battle destroyers and cruiser escorts), with several weapons capable of destroying an enemy.

2. CLAA - They were purpose built Escort Cruisers. Specifically designed as Anti-Aircraft platforms, they had the armor to withstand cruiser fire, but thier lighter guns were truly made to shoot down planes(fighters/larve).

3. Battle Cruisers / Pocket Battleships - These were hybrids, filling the needs of a fast fleet, they sacrificed armor protection, for increased speed, without giving up thier heavy guns.

4. Carriers - A true Fleet Carrier had enough planes aboard to demolish any
ship in existance, DS carriers have just enough to be annoying before they are killed.

5. Battleships - True armored ships, with enough firepower to batter a smaller foe to pieces, before the smaller ship could EVER return fire.
DS Dreads are lumbering pigs that I love to kill, whose range is no better, and most time worse than the cruiser I'm shooting them with.

6.Merchant Raiders - Taken in hand as prizes, and refitted with hidden guns,hidden armor, modern powerplants, and trained crews,many merchant raiders did as much or more damage per tonnage than a submarine, while looking like a mere transport.(Komet, Orion, Pinguin, Atlantis, and Kormoran to name a few) These ships were the equal of a Light Cruiser, with the added element of suprise.


Can all of these be made to fit into a DS mold...perhaps.
Can they be made to fit with existing weapons systems....maybe not.

i like it but ur submarines should be stealth ships in DS they use surprise to kill their target
