Uh... 1 Fighter per def base is actually less than are currently produced. If I'm not mistaken, each fighter base will launch two fighters at once. This is actually less fighters involved.

What would happen to the ships moving in to orbit in order to drop their troops? Would they just get ate up? Torps have a fairly quick reload, and they would also be getting hit by the missles AND fighters......OUCH. I feel sorry for anyone who isn't ICC, and even us poor fellows, make sure you have your pulse shields. I do like the idea of upping the strength of dbases though, they are rather weak, but with these changes, a kluth planet, or even a cluster would be hell to cap.

What would be nice would be the ability to target the planets defenses manually. I remember hearing about a command something or other on Command dreads and ganglias, maybe that could be used to command the planets defenses? It would be lovely to tell it to shoot the incoming station instead of the silly little scout that it has a snowballs chance in hell of hitting 1700 gu out.
