| -- The UGTO Command Station has a "Shield of Mars" which spawns 32 asteroids around the ship and sends them out at 50gu/s toward any nearby enemy ships.
-- The K'Luth Colony has a "Cumulonimbus Device" which fogs up the area with a nebula providing ECM cover and what may prove to be an irresistible attraction for a herd of Gaifen...

Reading something like this shows me who is quick and has a sense of humor and who is miserable and has an IQ of a Rock lol
too me something not so serious and yet entertaining is worth the time to read and laugh
90% of the responses so far see this for what it is and the rest read too deeply into it.
"Don't take life to seriously or you will never get out alive" (Van Wilder 2002) lol
thanks for the laugh Shig
I agree with Max, thanks for the laugh.
One thing for the rest of the whiner's had he done this on April 1st you would have bwwn fine with it...
oh and I would like to see spinning asteroids orbiting stations in a atomic formation
that would be cool ... oh and add some kool black hole effects in
.... where they travel thru all the systems in a random pattern lol... and any ship that comes to close gets destroyed within 1000gu that would be cool

I did actually make a ring of orbiting asteroids around my ship once, via scripting. Having a 3D atom-like structure would be pretty sweet, but also rather hard to do. I think the orbit code in particular only works in 2D space, so you wouldn't be able to have them move around you.
The nice thing about the cheese wheel is you could get a handful of ICC to jump in to a camped planet from opposite directions, surrounding the planet, then all fire at once.. and all the ships would be forced into the planet. Camp that!
The bad thing, of course, is that it isn't real.

LOL. That's cool.
Next, you should model your ship after Space Battleship Yamato... or that Star Blazers ship thing... what was it called... the Argo?
Give it the uber one shot kill mega cannon.

-snip-
ICC
- CLs and HCLs now have unlimited ammo.
- Removed auxiliary shield gens.
- Refactored ion cannons. Range increased to 1310gu, but speed reduced to 45gu/s and system damage removed.
- Reduced shield regen from 17 to 14 for reactors, 27 to 19 for actives. This should give ships lots of extra energy.
- ICC cheese stores on Ocotat have been removed.
