Black Screen when starting Client |

When I try to start the Tutorial or the actual game (Play Button), the client starts and then either hangs with a complete black screen or with the windows taskbar below and a "client"-titled black window. Nothing works except for a cold boot.
I have a Athlon 1.4, 256MB 133 RAM, GeForce 3 Ti200 with tweaked Detonator Drivers 29.42, Via Chipset running 4in1 drivers v4.40, Win2k Pro with all latest updates, DirectX 8.1 and so on...
I tried disabling my Firewall (BlackIce 3.5), lowering the gfx details, switching graphic card drivers...
I searched the forums but found nothing that could have helped me.

how long do you "hang" ??
the client need's some (more or less) seconds to come up

About half an hour... Nothing works, no Alt-Tab, no Ctrl-Alt-Del, the mouse cursor is gone... Very strange behaviour, given that everything else works flawlessly...

I found out...
You have to disable FSAA (Full Scene Anti-Aliasing)...
Too bad.
