Thought I'd share this:

I've been getting the old "Failed to Initialize Display... " error after changing video drivers around. Eventually, I managed to eliminate the problem by disabling nView (I have a Geforce3Ti500.) It would seem that Dark Space does something wacky when initing DX which breaks in conjunction with nView.

btw - I'm using the 28.32 drivers.
