Alright, I just got back into the game after about a month of dormancy. Before I was one of the many key players, no lag no issues at all!

However, I see this new HDR Update and seem that it is unbearable lag that kicks in. I see ships floating upside down and I lock up in battle, not only screen wise but when I try to chat it appears 20 - 30 seconds later depending on what I am doing.

My specs are:
Video Card - 1024MB GeForce 9600 GT
Ram - 3.0GB Dual-Channel DDR @ 128MHz
CPU - AMD Athlon 64 3400+ 2.2ghz
Speed - Cable

Thanks

thats some slow memory... 128mhz? i run ddr2 a 800... or am I reading it all wrong...

Btw I have a 8 yo HP I run ds on somtimes (when kids and wifey are on the better ones)

CPU: Intel Celeron 1.3ghz (really old pre P4 single core cpu)
Ram: 512MB single channel PC100
Video: ATI 9250 Radeon (256MB)
on a Cable modem.

No Lag....

It very well could be somewhere in the long chain of servers it takes to get to DS server that could be causing the lag.

Disable HDR and/or FSAA if your system is struggling. Disable UDP if it's connection based, as your router/ISP may do heavy SPI on UDP packets.

I have all my graphics settings at the lowest...I disabled UDP and it just makes it worse, I just went into battle and the opponent seems like he is taking major damage from me, I mean hes just spinning and drifting away xD...I take no damage, and just keep shooting :S...20 seconds go by and I blow up .
