when i try to connect to a server it downloads a update for the game.when it's done with downloading it runs the update installer and i get a Failed to run ClientSetup.exe error.What could be the problem?

if any more info needed ask away

do you use win 7 or vista ?
if you do, you have to start the game with admin-rights
that migh help

Delete clientsetup.exe, force click update .

I fixed mine this way..

Go to C:\Program Files\Palestar\GameCQ\.Cache\DarkSpace

in there there will be a exe file called DarkSpaceSetup
Rename it to ClientSetup
Then to the the Lauch tab and Launch the game.
It should now work (Well atleast it did for me)

Actually, I JUST started to have this problem after the update yesterday... I thought I was going crazy. I will try to fix it by the methods here. Windows 7 here.

Edit/Update:

Ok. I checked and my cache folder on my one partition (just recently installed DS on it) did NOT have Client.exe or ClientSetup.exe in the cache folder. Just DarkSpaceClient.exe and DarkSpaceSetup.exe

Copy-Pasting/Renaming DarkSpaceClient to Client and DarkSpaceSetup to ClientSetup did the trick.

Problem fixed. No client patch required.
