Cant connect to lobby |

I installed the game and connected to the lobby a total of 5 seconds then the game CQ
just quit ever since then (even after reinstalling) i cant connect to the lobby after putting in my user name and pass word
System
AMD thunderbird 1333 mhz
asus V7100 Geforce2 MX-400
OS Windows 2k pro
1024 megs of sdram
Ethernet connection

I found the fix for this bug but when i tried it my computer shut down
Fix: start server to update my files
problem is that when i try to update it makes my comp restart
ok i got an error after disabling restart at system hang in windows 2k pro
the i got this error
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

The problem is with your network card then, get the latest drivers.
