in this version it is impossible to cap ships because you can only land one inf.
instead of everything you have onboard. i think this has made the game less dangereus because you can no longer be capped. if you have 2 inf or more hostile inf is no longer a problem.

it jused to be that you where scared in a dread for a tranny. you sometimes just got pointjumped when you where in a dread by a tranny who boarded you. at that point the clock was tiking for you and you needed to run for your live to the nearest planet.

i think it should be like that. so i suggest you put the old capping back in place. put if you have reasons to do otherwise i would love to hear em.

Did you know that even in the previous version even if you unloaded 10 infantry that you would only be able to put just 1 or 2 infantry on the enemy ship. (depended on enemy hull size).

But i would agree that capturing might need review about how it currently can be done, and the limits of what needs to be done to actually capture a ship(/platform).
Because they might be set a little to high. as its could be considered insane to e.g: Need to unload 16 heavy veteran infantry to capture a cruiser. (!note! this is a example).

I got an idea, a fighter...Boarding shuttle if you will (something like the transport pods now) except it travels a bit slower than a bomber, but faster than a pod

When it hits the ship's arc, the shuttle disappears, and an infantry unit is transferred to the ship.

It would probably be locked to a fighter slot, 1 use per slot...maybe have a ship specialized for it's use...i dunno

Topic is a bit old as it still involves credits and other stuff but the idea still stands..
