I guess I'll be useful tonight by explaining the joke for Deltaflyer (and anyone else who might not get it).
Particle Cannons are supposed to have infinite ammo. I'm sure you've noticed this over the course of playing DarkSpace. However, in leonide's screenshot, particle cannons clearly have ammo.
That's all I'm giving you. You'll have to come up with the rest.
