There should be a forum page that shows the new players in dark space and what they have to say, like when a new player signs up he or she has a choice to right an introduction about himself "hi im max25 hope to like the game...etc" and if the person chooses not to write anything a standard message is placed something like "hi im max25 hope to see you in game:)", just a way of telling people about the new players
