i dont think i need to point out that these changes are not set in stone (yet) and can be changed after testing once beta goes live.

what took my eye was that almost all of the Missile based ships are going back to mainly front mounted fire.
IMO i love this, it made em good line ships that needed some time to make the U turn and retreat.
is this going to be for all the missile based ships? *ICC UGTO and Bugs*

suggestion for engineership:
we got 3 engineer ships in my opinion 2 are more then enough
-light version with 1 buildpod and just shields and limited armament
-heavy engi with 2 buildpods , rmr and shields and standard armament like the current engi
then for the command dread it should also have 2 build pods and so does the command station with 2 reloads
and the support station should have 4 to 6 reloads
i hope this will make building less boring

2 builds? I think building is fine the way it is. Takes time, but can pay off.

Unfortunately, it fills no real roll, and is basicly a HC with little changed. ICC have far too many cruisers, and if we can't make up the numbers or find ways to build more ships into the other factions - there will be cuts made. There are simply far too many cruisers on the ICC side though.

Actually the ICC have so many cruisers because originally they focused on Destroyers and cruisers for the bulk of their fleets and the UGTO focused on larger heavier ships... Hence their EAD supposidly being the best...
I am beginning to change the ship layouts, but it will be a couple of days before I check the changes in and let them roll out to beta.

I have already completed doing the changes above...
The only ship that has been actually been removed so far is the Wormhole Cruiser, as it doesn't fulfill much of a role under the new rules (changes to Wormhole ranges and server configuration effectively render it pointless).
It might be reinstated in some form at a later date, but for now it is simpler to remove it while we work on other updates.

why not just give ugto and kluth another dreadnaught? like minor support ships....like a UGTO Support Dread...or something.....

about that wh cruiser, i noticed it comes in handy to evac ships incase of a enemy dictor, even if its only say 100k wh range it still would be made useful.
also one other thing im worry about is rail guns, compairing to the partical, and psi cannons there weaker and easier to dodge, well they be getting a power boost, and a speed boost?

WH cruiser is being removed for balance reasons. The other two factions don't have one, and it serves no real purpose. ICC have far too many cruisers as well.
Railguns have zero fall off over range - so they do far more if you can hit someone. They also use zero energy.
You have to remember ICC aren't a damage faction - their weapons do the LEAST damage of all three factions. If you don't like that, then you shouldn't be playing as ICC.

well thats gonna be bad for action then if we dont do a lot of damage and we dont have the numbers already to counter most attacks.
basicly icc is screwed for battles
