Escape pod's for the ships |

what you think about new Escapes pods for the ships in order to make Darkspace more realistic we need to include this new form to make the game more fun I mean when you destroyed a ship. there is a escape pod and he try to go to the near planet or perhaps can be rescued by a Supply ship and them this ship can take this pod and bring to the nearest Shipyard or the nearest Homegate
we need it!!

so... whats the point in an escape pod? i mean what do you lose dying in that thing that you dont when you lose your ship?
Besides, in the oncoming patch, when losing your ship, its in the SY with 5% hull..
edit: im not good at burning an idea to the grounds eh?

so your big ship blows up and i dont think a escape pod can have a jump drive and the enemy ship is sitting there waiting for you

i was thinking this game is from the space no!! the starships need a escape pod no!! we can make this only for the little ships beacuse the newbies got a list of troubles only to to get the 2nd rear admiral rank and i was thinking that is more easy for the player to escape. plz don't give bad ideas give me SUGGESTIONS OK!!

hmm well escape pod can be picked up by a friendly and to keep from being a steal away kill it has to be brought back to the shipyard or jumpgate for the player to spawn again even after log

the point is, whats the use of a pod? like i said, when your ship dies, you lose your ship. We only got ships here, thats the only thing next to prestige to lose

Actual player escape pods probably won't ever be seen, but there was an idea thrown about some time ago about seeing escape pods eject from the wreckage, and other players being able to pick up/salvage them - much like you currently can with cargo.
The main problem with this idea is how to tie it into the gameplay. It would make sense if picking these up automaticly gave a prestige related reward (maybe a boost to your command or influence rating?).
Delaying players from getting back into a ship within a reasonable time period isn't really something that DarkSpace wants to do, given thats its main focus IS combat.
