Just a quick method to reintroduce teamwork, planning and fleets to the game while at the same time deterring lone bombers.

Simply replace the gaps that were filled in in the MV, i.e. remove the JGs between Delta pavonis and Cincinnati. I miss the old layout.

In my opinion it would help people have an idea of borders and make people more likely to avoid going two/three systems into enemy territory to attack.

Of course, this can be circumvented by WGCs and Stations, but neither are of much use alone, hence encouraging fleets and teamwork.

And a chance for some people to make a killing on supply

Feedback welcome.

Here's another idea I heard once either in Lobby or in Game. Lets say you have 4 people from Icarus and 3 people from Bums in the Groom. When someone in Icarus gains prestige it is given out equally to everyone in Icarus with in that system only. Same thing with the BUMS when a BUM gains prestige all the BUMS in that system do as well. If there were someone from Icarus/BUM in lets say Lacallie then they wouldn't be part of the prestige gain b/c they are not in the same system.

That's already planned for 1.484 Smartin

Faustus should be re-enabling grouping, and automaticly group fleets.

so if one fleetmember gains like 35 pres, does he get 35 prestige and everyone else gets 35 or is it divided among them evenly? like if theres 3 members it would divide 35 by 3?

sounds cool, but what if i just sat in sol for a couple of hours while it was being invaded, and my fleet members did all the work while i got their pres?

That would be your fleets decision to let you do that. I would think your fleetmates would become upset and ask to you to log. I wouldn't want someone just sitting there basting in the glory while they are afk for 2 or 3 hours.

While Im not entirely familiar with the concepts and practices of the ideas behind grouping as it is going to be implemented, the question of "What would happen if I sat still and everyone did the work and I gained the prestige?" was brought up.

Someone went ahead and answered that they would likely be able to go ahead and kick you; while I doubt fleet members or leaders will be given the power to kick players from servers, they are certainly able to kick fleet members who are not pulling their wait in the MV during battles and campaigns, and thus, this will remain a viable tool to make sure the fleet remains efficient through its operations.

No six, it'll work how Bito said. If (for instance) Nim see's someone not pulling their weight in the MV, and they're just there to leech of our prestige from grouping, he'll most likely boot them. Problem solved.
