My idea is well u guessed it, infantry dropping fighters. instead of getting killed from dropping, Infantry Carrier Fighters can do it for us!! Like have them drop on the planet in a drive-by really close then make them carry like 3 inf at max level. but if u make them stupid and they drop from like 300 gu away from the planet (lol) then u shud let them carry like 10-15 infantry at max level. Please take this into consideration, i like the idea. I'd like to see what other players think of this.

It's an interesting idea, however 10-15 inf? even against point defense that's excessive, imagine an agincourt unloading wave after wave of these things.
However perhaps a better implementation might be fighter type objects or even infantry type objects (a la the little boarding pods they fly in, the one's that are armored, so they could bypass planet defenses in some cases) that take on the look of dropships but behave like long range, high speed inf pods, that is if a weapon/bay can launch inf pod type objects or not.

...

Oh dear God no...

Why exactly? We don't need more lag and ways of dodging getting close to enemy planets.

valid point, although I didn;t intend them to be immune to PD, but mostly just able to get past it in larger numbers.... however i am aware that this would just make capturing planets with one ship easier, so i guess this could be put on hold for however long (but perhaps implemented in a much nerfed version later, who knows.)

imrpoved the idea and it jst might work, for example: make them a special fighter class (going with original idea) and make them bigger than normal fighters, like heavy EWAS that are easy to target and take out with, maybe 2-3 pd hits and have the use the same coding that EWAS use, but add the landing procedure, this way if they "land" aka crash into the planet then they wont be able to be used again.....
