Flux has gone from one extreme to another, its used to be useless, but now it outragously excessive, it is crippling undamaged ships with one hit.

Hey, I have no idea what you're talking about! I haven't been subbed for a few weeks, so you can't blame me! ^_^
Though I do admit that maybe Wyke has a point. Even with my undamaged Command Carrier, I had a hard time recovering from flux. It almost always knocks out my reload.
If it was just a UGTO-specific tech, it would be a lot better. From what I experienced, more K'luth used it than anyone else. And that includes cannons along with waves!
...Just on a random note, isn't it silly how only the Heavy Supply Ship can equip a Flux Cannon?

I would like everyone to note that a UGTO is posting this
That said... I wonder if the new flux is intended to pay back people who used to use the OLD flux... lol.
PLZ FIX!

I used flux quite a bit in 1.481. My list of victims *smiles at Backslash* can testify to that.
It figures that everyone jumps on the flux-using bandwagon now when it makes ships go poofie.

Possibly, but I find it a little rediculous when I can be putt off the attack in a completely undamaged AC by 22% hull no armor dread. Yes, its a dread - but it was 3 vollys away from being a deaddread - and instead it fires 1 weapon at me, and I am utterly disabled... yeah, balanced!

heh, I mentioned this a while ago and was given excuses. Its good to know that others think that 1 flux hit on a fully armored ship should NOT totaly disable it from play.

Only differences are that it's no longer UGTO only, and it fits the heavy weapon slot.
So, people are getting hit with many at once, from the K'Luth.
It's amusing to me when people think they are knocked out by one flux. One flux generally will do little to a ship with full defenses. You are being hit by three or more fluxes, at the same time. THAT is what is melting your ships.

And from a nearly destroyed ship, in what possible realistic imitating sense would that work? Granted, theres no such thing as flux IRL... but that doesn't mean that it should defy all sense of reason... BLARGH!

flux = heavy weapon and accesable to all sides ??
/me looks to the shipspecs
/me notices the ammounts of heavy weapon slots the Missile dread has
/me thinks "but off course the ICC where not powerfull enough"
Why is it that the only good UGTO tech has suddenly become everybody's tech.
Do the developers only want 2 races in the MV and therefor take everyting from the ugto so that nobody plays them anymore.
comon give the ugto a fighting chance please.
ot give us the autorepair and the pulsewave so that we can at least try to fight back.
This REALLY S*CKS BIGTIME

but ugto Can use pusle lazers.
but im wondering why everyone can use flux. methinks cloak, ruptors and auto repair should stay luthy, pulse beam/wave should stay icc and flux should stay ugly.
then every side has thier strong point.
