Hello all!

I've dug through all the posts regarding new ship/station for the rank of Grand Admiral (GA) and found out that almost everyone is having an opinion of what features such a 'monster' should have.

As there's no way to please all I say we shouldn't even try. There's a simple solution to this - let the GA's have more flexibility to shape his/hers ship to what role the GA's either needs for the moment OR feels most comfortable to play as. In my experiance there's alot of different GA playingstyles out there (maul ships, supply friendlys, strategic command etc).

I know there will be more limitations on certain slots in the next patch, but there will also be more flexibility in others (weapon slots for instance).

In my opionion a GA ship should be multipurpose and be something like the Command Dreadnaught, but have greater survivability.


Titan-class vessel (ICC/UGTO)

- Larger in-game hull-size than a Dreadnaught
- Twice the Heavy Armor than a Dreadnaught
- Primary AND Secondary shielding (ICC only)
- Half the turningspeed of a Dreadnaught

- Cargohold: 10 items/infantry

- Tractorbeam (1)
- EW slots (3)
- Reloads (2)
- Build (1)

- Auxillery Power Generator (1)

- Fighterbays (12)
- Mines (2)

Weapon-slots:

- 2 Small Forward/Port Arc
- 2 Small Forward/Starboard Arc
- 2 Small Aft/Port Arc
- 2 Small Aft/Starboard Arc

- 8 Medium Port Arc
- 8 Medium Starboard Arc
- 8 Medium Aft Arc

- 4 Large Full Arc
- 6 Large Port Arc
- 6 Large Starboard Arc
- 6 Large Aft Arc

Conclusion:

This vessel will have good survivability, but it won't be overpowered when it comes to weapons. It sure can't outrun any enemy and it's not powerful enough to destroy multiple ships with ease and it's sure can't outmanouver anything execpt a station. No bomb-slots also minimizes the possible threat of having such a giant in orbit killing off anything on a planet without being able to kill it quickly. Also, I would suggest it's explosion, when it does gets destroyed, will be quite large so smaller vessels won't do close-up attacking to often.

A slow reloading jumpdrive and slightly slower topspeed of a Dreadnaught could also be used to hamper this 'weapons-platform'.

The Reloads/build will make it a multipurpose ship which can be modded into any role _any_ Grand Admiral wants.

In terms of .482, your ship is totally underarmed. Also, the Team is trying to move away from Full Slots.

The ship can have all the armor and hull it wants, as long as it is that slow, it will be FOOD and a primary Target. So, exactly what a GA needs, right? (note: NO sarcasm!)

It is a self-supplying miner. Not going to happen i think.

As has been said before: Wait until you see .482.
