what do all captains do to their ships? they name em! they give a name that can be both personal and fearful. it's marks who's ship that is.
So my suggestion is that we have the ability to name our ships, but only after certian requirements are met. For example once you have delt 100-500 combat damage with the current ship, the ability to rename your ship will appear. It'll let everyone know that's it's YOUR ship and you can definately kick butt (unless you got this damage points from killin nubbies *cough most of you*)

Oh and.....I'm all for the naming of ships....but, I doubt it'll be a priority to the Dev team
