Command dread would be a good UGTO candidate to have a small wormhole generator...

It's only a disadvantage to the Jump Cruiser. But then, you only pick the Jump Cruiser because you know it's got the Worm Hole. If you wanted to do a bombing run without risking your escape on a 5 minute wormhole recharge, you'd use the bomber dread.
You assume the risks by choosing the Jump Cruiser, its not an immutable burden placed on your faction as a whole.

Hear hear! Who wants only the same ships to fly, with only different fleet tags? You guys are gonna balance everything to the point that the only difference is ICC:pulse, UGTO:flux, K'luth:cloak, elf.
Diversity is what makes the game good, no great. ICC gets the Jump Cruiser, and if you want to play with it, feel free to join S.W. If it frightens you......good.

as is the WH isnt good for inner system travel its rather a waste, and also mkaes it really easy to chase or counter attack

On friday, I was building Valentine in Cincinnati, when I was on the receiving end of a roaming JC first bombing, then capping and using a wormhole to bring in a small fleet to help defend the new acquisition.
We on UGTO used our two shipyards on (Censored by UGTO Counter-Intelligence) and (Censored by UGTO Counter-Intelligence) to bring in re-enforcements and it lead to a some good battling before we recapped.
I thought it rather creative and despite at the time thinking Argh ... the ICC should keep it. It didnt provide an unfair advantage, just an tactical option and it has been traded for the PCM stacking, a not insignificant loss.
