-activated weapon
-long reload time
-range falloff function:
-range 0-200(max eff.)-300(least eff.)
-does drain from friendlies too
-comes hardmounted on siphon-class equivalent instead of ELF beam
-the drain applied to the targets is a function of the targets energy % and the firers energy %, i.e. a cruiser that has 20 energy and is being hit would lose for example 5% energy if the shooter was at 0% energy, and 2% energy if the shooter was at 80% energy.

this weapon is intened to be used much like the flux wave, allowing the heavily armored dreadnought class ship to pass an enemy group and return for another strike with energy reserves, seen in the context of (hopefully) future employed hit-and-run tactics.

btw id like to add that hit and run works great with stock drainers, for example. its just noone uses them because they dont have to.

think that and frigate class ships should be able to mount either the elf-wave or dictor by choice.

would obselete dictor cruzz and make frigates usefull again (if they get some more power that is )

having something like that on bigger ships well i dont know

If I remember correctly, there was, at one point, an elf wave.

It was removed, because it was too powerful.

Something like that, anyways, I wasn't around when it was in the game

yea, the ELF wave that was removed (its still in the code, you can spawn and use it on any ship would constantly drain energy when active from all ships in the area..

it was a bit out of scale, to say the least.
