Bombs are supposed to have a timer on them, so that they will not detonate closer than 100gu. However, due to a bug in code, bombs are no longer subject to such limitations and will detonate immediately. This allows for players to participate in what we term "close orbit bombing." COB was banned a while back when it was possible, and now that its possible again, it is being relisted as an exploit.
Henceforth, Bombing planets from a range where the planetary point defense has insufficient time to react, allowing for bombs to hit or splash damage to damage the planet, is illegal. Any moderator witnessing such bombing tactics will be empowered to take any actions they deem necessary. Continued abuse by players could result in stat reduction.
