Today I found [N.101]Svol and Tachyon sitting at a planet in transports simply taking turns capping it (one was icc other was ugto). This is a very simple and likely very effective way to cheat yourself into some free prestige. I propose what sounds to me like a simple solution. Make it so one can not capture the same planet more than once in a minutes time. This would make this form of cheating much less viable.
I pushed both from the server, but this won't really fix anything.

I think 1 minute is definetively too long. For those which try to recapture a wealth planet it is impossible. I think kicking them from server would be the best solution. Or maybe if a player on one side and another on other side capture the same planet 5 times in a minute or so then they will be automatically kicked.

Maybe this way:
A planet belongs to a certain faction, when it get´s capped by the enemy, ok.. then it belongs to the enemy... and if it´s "recapped" within let´s say 2 minutes it can´t be recapped by the enemy for another 2 minutes.. this may prevent this sort of prestige cheating without impacting gameplay too much.
Also there are not always mod´s avaviable to kick those.. and reducing their prestige by hand after that may be a time consuming job

and more, there is time needed to capture planet (invasion shuttles neeed reach surface, in this time they can be shoot by PD and damaged or destroyed) so any transport orbit need more time now as poor jump in, orbit, drop, jump out and alive heavy fire...
plus change prestige calculation....
capture neutral planet 1.0f, capture enemy planet with zero troops 1.5f, capture enemy planet with enemy troops [1.5+(0.2*number_of_troops)]f
or something like this ...

Actually, I think it might be pretty easy for it to take atleast 1 minute for a planet to be captured.
I'll go ahead and make this change now...

should be possible to cap planets ... only gaining prestige should be restricted ..
when ppl only gain prestige each minute .. they won't abuse this method to gain prestige ...
by the way .. i like dwaren's idea with te shutles
another type of drones .. whick can be shoot down

Or you could change it so you couldn't load infantry onto your ship until a certain time after they've been loaded onto a planet... to give u an example I don't think in Star Trek people were energized to a planet and then energized back onto the ship immediately...the energizer thingy had to recharge...kinda the same idea here, just need to wait before you can reload infantry onto your ship to cap a planet again.
