my computer sucks :( |

i finally got my new graphics card the other day but i cant install any of the drivers to run it. i have literally no cd/disks that came with the computer (this computer was given to me but the guy who gave it to me forgot to include the cds/disks that went with it). could my motherboard be fried (if thats possible) or is it something else? nvidias website wont give me any drivers either, both automatic and manual searches.
heres my computer specs:
OS: windows xp professional
Manufacturer: Dell
Model: OptiPlex GX260
Processor: Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.26GHz
Memory: 2GB RAM
thanks in advance. oh, before i forget, i have a geforce 6200 graphics card from nvidia.
p.s. i know i mentioned something like this before (i didnt make my own forum though) but i'd rather make a fresh, new one.
p.s.s. im not sure if this is in the right forum.
EDIT:i just installed the RAM challenger gave me so that makes 2GB now.

pc that didnt get install cd's got a hidden partition with all the install files. usually its called q: etc
press [windows flag] + r
type in devmgmt.msc
right clcik any device with yellow triangle and re-install software from this q: drive
anything that failed sucks for you

i plan to. i've played DS with the same specs before, but was very laggy. i'd be lucky to get more than 30 fps (btw i've dropped below 2 fps before )

ram has always been a problem with this computer. im just surprised that this computer is still running with what it has.

My cell phone has better specs then your computer, literally. I think it's time for a new one. lol
I don't know how you're even going to run DS, my laptop has better specs and it runs DS pretty badly. Not as bad as it used to though...

we'll see if it runs after i get the drivers installed. it is pretty sad that cell phones are more powerful than this computer. i hopefully would be getting a new computer next year (something that i will buy with my own christmas money ......im still a minor so i have no job  ). im just gonna cross my fingers and hope everything turn out nice.

just have your parents buy you 4-8 GB ram for it. Prob cost ya $40 for 800mhz ram...

alright. i think i will just get ram for the time being. i think this motherboard (might not be the motherboard) holds a max of either 2 or 4gb ram. i hope its 4. right now i can only afford half of the max ram this christmas (actually, i have to wait and see because it seems like i get different amounts each time, and plus my b-day is the 8th of february). guess we'll have to wait and see. you guys should (hopefully) see me in game in 30 mins. btw, my spacebar is screwed (still works though) so i will have troubles in game.
EDIT: also, im starting school tomorrow (yeah, i know, late start) so i cant stay long. i go to bed at 9pm est.

wow, my computer really sucks the installer says it cant find the graphics card when i know its there. any help? btw, im like this close (the finger pinch thing) to raging upon the computer but i some how manage to keep calm....i am feeling it though.
