This is a model I made intended for another game, but wanted people's opinions on it. I don't think it really fits anyone faction's general ship concepts looking at them, too curvy I think lol. But wanted people's opinions.
Was built in Blender 3D, was intended for an organic-ship using race. I think it looks like a frigate, but could be pushed to a cruiser perhaps. Anyway, I'm posting here to see how I can improve models I make later on.
PS ignore the textures. As I said, was inspired for another game using a different texture (and I'm no good at texturing atm anyway lol)

With a shape like that it makes me think more of a really big capital class ship. What comes to mind first is the Star Wars Mon Calamari ships.

I dunno about replacement for a DS game lol. But I guess with right texturing and ofc a few modifications it could?
lately though I had a bit of inspiration on a ship more like DS, so I'll try find a bit of time to make it (before I forget lol)

It's a style breaker though. It doesnt reflect the style of any faction. It kinda looks like the offspring of a three faction orgy, but it doesnt resemble any one faction enough, imho.

UV Unwrapped and used 3rd party client to texture it (Gimp). Not figured out how to texture it in blender yet, I can get the paint brush, but all that happens when I click is I cant move my cursor lol. So gave up and export the map.
Also, I did put it in fan art, but someone moved it to Soap Box >.>
@Azreal: Yeah I never really thought this would be seen in DS because like ya said, doesnt look like any one of the ships. I suppose it kinda looks like a K'Luth cruiser (Kinda like a parasite etc) but thats about it lol.
@Silent Threat: Well it was meant to be a Frigate in the other game I played, as the faction it was intended for has a Cruiser already, and this fit the style + size of a Frigate in the otehr game so kept it same here. But looking at it it probably does look more like a Cruiser at least for DS
