If you have a credit card with a bank, watch out! Interest rates on existing/future balances are being increased to stupid crazy numbers. Expect to see 15-25% interest rates on credit cards issued by banks (specifically BANKS). Credit unions are NOT expected to follow this trend. Just keep in mind that a bank will operate to benefit it's share-holders, not you.

Credit cards, there one way of the banks to make money. Especially when they use the american model. But some country's don't, like netherlands and belgium for example.
In the netherlands and belgium there verry few company's that are just a Credit Card company. Most are Banks, and you need to have a account with them to have a Credit Card.
There are loan company's that have interesting interest rates but miss two Payments and those interest rates become like mountans.
But yer talking Credit cards. lemme give you something of what i know.
With my bank if you have a Payment account it comes with a Chip and Pin card (a AMV equivilant) for a price of €9.95 per quarter and for just €1.90 extra you get a Credit card
All payments with the PIN card and Credit card are FREE!!! within europe.
Exeptions are using CC outside EU to withdraw cash thats a €4.50 charge per withdraw, And withdrawling in foreign currency from your accoung requires a additional 1% to the current exchainge.
So god bless the netherlands and stop using those credit cards..
Go Direct Debit payments! If you don't got the cash, don't buy it.
