When you're broke, what do you tolerate for food?
Some things on my list:
Ramean noodle
PB&J
Balogna (yuk)
off-brand raviolies and spagetti'o's
oat-meal
Pork-n-Beans

Rice.
Pasta.
Noodles.
Tinned chopped tomatoes.
Onions.
Also have bulk packs of dried spices.

Grilled Cheese
Soup (chicken noodle ONLY)
Anything that can be wrapped in a tortilla
And tho I wouldn't eat it, try Spam™

What makes you think I spend more money on food than I have to in the first place? Food & booze are the critical items on my budget, only ones at that. Housing & all that other garbage come secondary

Off brand pasta
Off brand Canned goodies
Off brand nutz/chips
Cheap beer
Re-bottled hard liquer (buddy works at a Liquor mart)
and what ever scraps of fud my roomie will leave for me occasionally....

Forget to mention my favorite technique for free food:
Attend every lecture series/event on campus when food is being served! The events usually serve pizza, burgers and hot dogs, sandwiches and stuff like that.

Wrap a tortilla around it.
