IMO the name is too close to DSCW but otherwise everyone should be encouraging another DS fansite. C'mon.. it's not competition, it's compliment to the game that people are willing to spend their time promoting DS and creating something game related. Chill people!

I added some tools for uploading, and playing videos... So, a few friends and I are starting to record video tutorials upload them. They will be open freely to the darkspace community... It's a different format than the new DSCW is, thus the two sites don't conflict eachother.

It's mind boggling. Is there some sort of monopoly on fansites? Is there only 1 allowed at a time? JBud better take his site down because there already is one?

For clarity, the original few posts seem rather out of context, but the original name of JBud's sight was identical to mine (hence why people might of replied strongly).
I have no issues with other fansites - I just frown upon others copying. If you're going to do something, do it different.
As the creator, etc, of DSCW, I really, really don't mind. More competition, blah, blah, blah. So the rest of you can calm down. I'm sure more than enough people can pick which site they prefer.

Lol yeah that would make things sound a little different. I didn't see the original site, so maybe now it's time to edit those replies? The criticism is truly unwarranted. I'll edit mine too afterward.
It's always good to have fansites, so this thread just sounds all wrong.

it was not identical but it was similar I used Darkspace Community Home originally a generic name the thing about it is however, Jack used a generic name for his site too he named A DarkSpace Community Site The DarkSpace Community Site after the first 3 posts I came up with a new name and changed it right away.... this is not a competition and its reduculous to act like that..

and now... yay the thread has been locked just wonderful THANKS but seriously Jack says Doran locked it he wont tell me why but I think it is because his post was deleted for negativity so thanks you guys tried to make a cool site to promote DS and I end up with a locked post and a massive headache the site WILL stay running, however, I will not shut it down because of a few haters... check in for daily updates @ http://jbud.spendeck.com/
Reply: Whatever your opinion of him, I don't think Doran would lock the thread out of annoyance from having his post deleted. It was probably because half the comments in the thread were flames, which tends to get things locked.
